Walker and Sloan are delighted to be partnering with an outstanding Further Education college to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a leadership role within a well-regarded institution, with an immediate start available.
As Head of Finance, you will lead and develop the Finance team, ensuring robust financial management and that effective controls are consistently maintained across the College.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within an FE college or similar organisation
- Strong technical accounting expertise combined with excellent management capability
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Recent experience managing and developing teams
This role involves working in an environment with young people and vulnerable adults. As such, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and demonstrate suitability for this role.
