Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding specialist contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join one of the UK's most prestigious live data centre developments. Our client has established an exceptional reputation for delivering highly complex construction projects across the Data Centre, Defence and Energy sectors. With over four decades of specialist expertise, they continue to deliver technically challenging schemes for some of the world's leading organisations.
This opportunity will see you joining a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton, where you'll play a pivotal leadership role in the successful delivery of a landmark project from construction through to completion.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for leading site operations across a major construction project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and commercial objectives. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider leadership team, you'll oversee Site Managers, subcontractors, and specialist trades while driving high standards across health & safety, quality, and programme performance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives within technically complex environments and enjoys leading large site teams on high-profile developments.
About You
You'll have a proven track record of successfully delivering major construction projects for a main contractor, with experience managing large site teams and coordinating multiple work packages simultaneously. You'll possess a strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, health & safety, programme management, and quality assurance, alongside the leadership skills needed to motivate teams and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Ideally, you'll hold an HNC, Degree or equivalent construction qualification, together with a CSCS Managers Card, while professional membership with CIOB or a similar organisation would be advantageous.
