A leading civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join its growing team in Cardiff. Working across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout South Wales and the South West, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering complex schemes across highways, structures, drainage, earthworks, public realm and infrastructure, working in partnership with both public and private sector clients.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor with a healthy pipeline of secured work, modern surveying technology and genuine opportunities for career progression into Senior Engineer and Site Management positions.
- Setting out works in accordance with project drawings and specifications
- Establishing site control and maintaining accurate survey data throughout construction
- Producing and maintaining as-built records and quality documentation
- Carrying out site surveys using modern GPS and robotic total station equipment
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works comply with project specifications
- Supporting the Site Manager with programme planning and daily site activities
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring technical compliance on site
- Managing engineering documentation, permits and inspection records
- Resolving technical queries with designers and project teams
- Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team
Previous experience as a Site Engineer within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector:
- Experience delivering highways, drainage, earthworks or infrastructure projects
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and as-built documentation
- HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- CSCS Card
- Full UK driving licence
