Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding bespoke design and build fit out company to recruit a Creative Designer to join their talented team in Bristol. Our client has built an exceptional reputation for transforming commercial spaces into inspiring environments, delivering bespoke workplace, hospitality, and commercial interior projects for a wide range of clients across the South West and beyond.

Due to continued growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, they're looking for a passionate and imaginative Creative Designer who can bring fresh ideas, innovative thinking, and exceptional design skills to every stage of the client journey.

The Role

As Creative Designer, you'll play a key role in developing unique workplace and commercial interior concepts that combine creativity, functionality, and commercial awareness. Working closely with clients, project managers, technical designers, and the wider delivery team, you'll help shape projects from the initial client brief through to final design presentation, creating spaces that exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing creative design concepts for commercial fit out and workplace projects
  • Producing mood boards, space planning layouts, and presentation material
  • Creating high-quality 2D and 3D visualisations to communicate design ideas
  • Presenting concepts and design proposals to clients with confidence
  • Working closely with technical design and project delivery teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
  • Selecting finishes, furniture, lighting, materials, and interior specifications
  • Keeping up to date with workplace trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions
  • Supporting client workshops, briefing sessions, and design presentations
  • Contributing to a collaborative and creative studio environment

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as a Creative Designer, Interior Designer, Workplace Designer, or similar role within the commercial interiors sector
  • Experience working within a design and build, fit out, or workplace consultancy environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative commercial interior projects
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, or similar)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Strong understanding of space planning, workplace trends, and user experience
  • Passionate about creating inspiring and innovative interior environments
