The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable and growing regional contractor with a strong pipeline of residential and mixed‑use developments across the South West. As a Contracts Manager, you’ll take ownership of 3–4 live sites, managing delivery teams from pre‑construction through to completion. You’ll play a hands‑on role overseeing quality, safety, and commercial performance — ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced contracting environment and enjoys the balance of site leadership and strategic oversight.
Role Overview
- Oversee multiple housing and refurbishment projects across the South West.
- Manage project programmes, ensuring consistent delivery and build quality.
- Lead and support Site Managers and project delivery teams.
- Conduct regular site visits, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance.
- Manage contract administration, after‑care, and client communication.
- Report weekly to the Operations Director with updates on progress, risks, and priorities.
- Drive operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About You
- Proven background working for a main contractor — not Tier 1.
- Experience managing multiple residential or mixed‑use schemes.
- Demonstrated longevity and loyalty in previous roles.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial, contractual, and operational project delivery.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor teams.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites (Somerton, Weston, Blandford).
