Quantity Surveyor – Retail Fit Out Contractor | Bristol Salary: Up to £60,000 Package Location: Bristol (Nationwide Retail Projects) ️ Sector: Retail | Fit Out | Refurbishment | Design & Build ️ ♂️ For my client – a dynamic and expanding retail contractor delivering projects for major UK brands Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with a background in fit out or retail construction? I’m recruiting on behalf of a Bristol-based contractor recognised for delivering fast-paced, high-quality retail environments across the UK. With a strong client base, repeat business, and a collaborative team culture, they’re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth and success. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial management of retail fit out and refurbishment schemes nationwide, typically ranging from £250k to £5m in value. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing project finances from procurement to final account * Preparing valuations, cost reports, and contract documentation * Overseeing subcontractor packages and tender processes * Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to client satisfaction * Building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail clients and supply chain partners You’ll be joining a business that combines the professionalism of a main contractor with the agility and personality of an SME — giving you autonomy, trust, and visibility. ✅ Ideal Candidate Profile * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit out, refurbishment, or retail construction * Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail * Confident managing multiple fast-track projects concurrently * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Based in or commutable to Bristol, with flexibility for nationwide travel What’s on Offer * Salary up to £60,000 (DOE) Full Package * Exciting, design-led retail projects with major UK brands * Genuine progression opportunities within a growing contractor * Supportive, down-to-earth team culture * Stability, variety, and long-term career development Interested?
