We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team supporting a major power and energy client. Based onsite near Wirral, you’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering complex infrastructure projects within a regulated utilities environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in project management, gaining exposure to large-scale programmes, structured delivery frameworks, and NEC contracts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of project workstreams
- Assisting with NEC contract administration (including early warnings, compensation events, and documentation)
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, and risk management activities
- Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Assisting with project governance, reporting, and programme controls
- Producing regular progress reports and presentations
- Ensuring compliance with client standards, processes, and HSE requirements
- Helping to resolve project issues and support smooth project delivery
Essential:
- Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering environments
- Understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) or willingness to develop knowledge
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commercial awareness and exposure to project financials or cost reporting
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools
Qualifications
- Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management, or similar (desirable)
- Professional accreditation (APM, PMI, RICS) beneficial but not essential
