We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Infrastructure team here at Walker Sime. You’ll be supporting the delivery of a nationally significant infrastructure programme, with a focus on electricity transmission and distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team, contributing to high-profile, technically complex works—providing commercial support across the full project lifecycle and acting as a trusted member of the client team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Contract Management – Supporting the administration of NEC contracts (Options A, C, E and Professional Services), ensuring compliance and good commercial governance across multiple concurrent projects.
- Pre-Contract & Procurement Support – Assisting in the development of contract strategies, contributing to the tender process, preparing cost plans and estimates, and supporting recommendation reports with clear, data-driven input.
- Commercial Reporting – Helping to produce and maintain commercial reports that provide the client with accurate insights for informed decision-making across their portfolio.
- Risk & Opportunity Management – Identifying and tracking commercial risks and opportunities, working with the wider project team to ensure value is delivered and commercial risks are mitigated.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the infrastructure sector.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Exposure to procurement activities and contract strategy development.
- Capable of managing inputs across multiple projects with support.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to commercial detail.
