We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst to join our Innovation and Legal Technology Delivery team within a dynamic law firm environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop a career in legal tech, working at the intersection of business change and technology.

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements by eliciting, reviewing, and confirming information to support meaningful technology driven solutions. You will play a key role in investigating business problems and opportunities in depth, identifying root causes and ensuring that solutions address underlying issues rather than symptoms. This role is ideal for someone who has experience across the full end‑to‑end lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery and continuous improvement.

Supporting initiatives of varying size and complexity, you will collaborate with Senior Business Analysts on more complex workstreams while also contributing independently, helping to drive innovation and deliver measurable value across the firm.

As the Business Analyst, you will:

  • Support small to medium‑sized initiatives and defined workstreams within larger programmes.
  • Analyse business problems using structured techniques, identifying opportunities for change and improvement.
  • Explore solution options and apply sound judgement, highlighting issues such as insufficient or ambiguous information.
  • Work with process owners to understand and improve business processes, ensuring that opportunities for simplification and removal of waste are fully exploited.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of options and development of recommendations aligned with business objectives, IT strategy, and delivery standards.
  • Conduct market scans and support vendor evaluations to identify solutions that meet business needs and client expectations.
  • Support and contribute to discovery and scoping activities; draft and maintain business case artefacts, scoping documents, requirements specifications, process maps.
  • Collaborate through solution design, ensuring requirements traceability and acceptance criteria inform design and testing.
  • Contribute to test planning, UAT coordination, deployment readiness, and post‑implementation reviews; track and evidence benefits realisation.
  • Work within the firm’s delivery framework, taking guidance from the Senior Business Analyst and Head of Innovation & Legal Technology Delivery as appropriate.

We are looking for:

Essential

  • Typically, two to four years’ experience in a business analysis or related role.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a logical, methodical approach to problem‑solving, combined with creativity and curiosity to explore options and challenge assumptions.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, able to engage stakeholders across the business.
  • Investigation skills, including identifying root causes and evaluating problems and opportunities to inform effective solutions.
  • Ability to design and lead structured workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit, clarify, and validate business requirements, using appropriate facilitation techniques and tools.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 product suite.
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and manage own time efficiently, establish efficient work practices and work to deadlines.
  • Confident, self‑motivated and resilient, with a proactive approach to driving work forward.

Desirable

  • Ability to support the delivery of smaller‑scale changes independently, ensuring initiatives are completed effectively without requiring full project management oversight.
  • Exposure to legal technology platforms (e.g. HighQ, NetDocuments, Kira, Harvey, Legora etc.).
  • Professional certifications (e.g. BCS, Agile BA, Lean Six Sigma).

Some of our benefits include:

  • Salary reflective of experience – up to £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Earn up to 10% of your salary with our annual bonus scheme.
  • Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays per year increasing to 31 days with length of service, with the opportunity to buy up to 5 days holiday per year.
  • Hybrid working with on average 40-60% of your time spent in the office.
  • Auto enrolled into the workplace pension scheme, and we’ll contribute a minimum of 6% of your salary.
  • 4x your annual salary in the event of a death in service.
