Location: Central London (3 days/week on-site)

Contract: 6-month FTC

Compensation: Strong base + bonus (pro rata)

Shape the risk culture at a globally respected data provider – and help protect the integrity of their most valuable asset.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact interim leadership role, guiding a lean but critical Risk and Compliance function at the heart of a data-led, private equity-backed information business. You'll provide both operational leadership and strategic clarity – influencing the compliance roadmap, refining risk frameworks, and acting as a key voice in complex business-critical decisions.

What’s on offer

  • High visibility across the senior leadership team and board
  • A commercially pragmatic, PE-owned environment – no bureaucracy or box-ticking
  • Trusted role supporting regulatory integrity across global benchmark pricing
  • Talented peer in place: you’ll line-manage an experienced technical compliance specialist
  • Scope to drive improvement while steadying the ship during an organisational transition

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and evolve the risk management framework – ensuring clarity, simplicity, and strategic alignment
  • Oversee compliance monitoring and assurance aligned to voluntary IOSCO principles and BMR standards
  • Engage with international regulators, prepare for audits, and support internal governance reporting
  • Lead the insurance programme, whistleblowing policy and regulatory training initiatives
  • Mentor, manage and support a respected compliance lead working as an individual contributor

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience leading risk and/or compliance functions in a pragmatic, commercial environment
  • Working knowledge of voluntary regulation and audit frameworks (IOSCO/BMR ideal)
  • Strong written communication and ability to deliver board-ready reporting
  • Confidence and gravitas – able to challenge and advise senior stakeholders with credibility
  • Experience from a SaaS, data, or information services business preferred

Who this suits

You’re a confident, collaborative risk/compliance leader who thrives in agile environments. You bring the depth to engage in regulation, the credibility to guide senior decisions, and the mindset to keep things simple and effective.

Benefits

  • Bonus (pro rata, discretionary)
  • Hybrid working (3 days onsite in London office)
  • High-impact exposure to executive decision-making
  • Inclusive, values-led culture
