Interim Head of Risk and Compliance
Location: Central London (3 days/week on-site)
Contract: 6-month FTC
Compensation: Strong base + bonus (pro rata)

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact interim leadership role, guiding a lean but critical Risk and Compliance function at the heart of a data-led, private equity-backed information business. You\’ll provide both operational leadership and strategic clarity – influencing the compliance roadmap, refining risk frameworks, and acting as a key voice in complex business-critical decisions.

What you’ll be doing
- Own and evolve the risk management framework – ensuring clarity, simplicity, and strategic alignment
- Oversee compliance monitoring and assurance aligned to voluntary IOSCO principles and BMR standards
- Engage with international regulators, prepare for audits, and support internal governance reporting
- Lead the insurance programme, whistleblowing policy and regulatory training initiatives
- Mentor, manage and support a respected compliance lead working as an individual contributor
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience leading risk and/or compliance functions in a pragmatic, commercial environment
- Working knowledge of voluntary regulation and audit frameworks (IOSCO/BMR ideal)
- Strong written communication and ability to deliver board-ready reporting
- Confidence and gravitas – able to challenge and advise senior stakeholders with credibility
- Experience from a SaaS, data, or information services business preferred
