What’s in it for you?
Looking for more responsibility, broader exposure, and a clearer route to progression?
This is an opportunity to join a growing accountancy practice where you'll lead client engagements, work directly with senior decision-makers, and gain experience across both audit and accounts preparation - developing skills that go far beyond a traditional audit role.
Whether you're already qualified or progressing towards qualification, you'll be trusted to take ownership of client relationships, lead engagements, and develop commercially valuable experience that is often difficult to access within larger firms.
This role is particularly suited to auditors who enjoy building relationships, communicating confidently with clients, and taking ownership of engagements from start to finish.
Strong base salary aligned to experience and qualification level
Performance-linked bonus
ACA/ACCA study support and paid study leave
Clear progression pathway to Manager with increasing responsibility from day one
Early responsibility and direct client exposure
Broader exposure across audit, accounts preparation, and advisory assignments
Direct access to Partners and senior decision-makers
Flexible working hours within an office-based environment
Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates
Why join this business
This well-established and growing accountancy practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work to a specialist client base.
What sets the business apart is the breadth of exposure available to its team. Rather than operating in a narrow audit-only environment, you'll gain hands‑on experience across audit, accounts preparation, and client advisory work, helping you develop into a more commercially rounded accountant.
The firm’s continued growth creates genuine opportunities for ambitious auditors to progress quickly, take on greater responsibility, and play a meaningful role in shaping how work is delivered.
You’ll work closely with Partners, have direct client exposure from day one, and be trusted to take ownership of engagements far earlier than would typically be possible within a larger firm.
The Role
As a Senior Auditor, you’ll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion while developing trusted client relationships and supporting junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion
Managing audit delivery and ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout engagements, building trusted relationships and communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Supervising, reviewing, and mentoring junior staff
Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts
Contributing to process improvements and best practice across the team
What You’ll Bring
2-5 years' audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships and interact directly with clients
Ability to explain technical matters clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
ACA/ACCA qualified, finalist, or part-qualified with a clear commitment to completing qualification
Strong understanding of UK GAAP and ISAs (UK)
IFRS exposure would be advantageous
Experience preparing statutory accounts would be beneficial
Exposure to both audit and accounts preparation is desirable but not essential
Who This Role Suits
This opportunity is ideal for an Audit Senior looking for greater responsibility, broader exposure, and a more commercially focused role than many traditional firms can offer.
Success in this role requires more than strong technical audit skills. You’ll be someone who enjoys working directly with clients, building trusted relationships, and communicating confidently with colleagues and stakeholders.
You’ll thrive in a close-knit team where ideas are welcomed, and progression is based on contribution rather than hierarchy.
