Our client, a leading venture capital firm based in central London, are looking for a Fund Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, responsible for managing the quarterly reporting and general fund operations. This role is a 6 months maternity cover to start early March 2026.

Description

  • Contribute to fund accounting operations, including the preparation and calculation of financial and operating metrics.
  • Support quarterly reporting processes and review annual tax filings where applicable.
  • Ensure financial regulatory reporting complies with relevant local and international frameworks, fund LPAs, and accounting standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, legal advisers, banks, and fund administrators.
  • Support the preparation of capital calls and distributions, including drafting and issuing related investor communications.
  • Monitor fund cash positions and liquidity.
  • Produce valuation and accounting reports, contributing to portfolio monitoring and investment valuations.
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting for senior leadership.

Skills

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) ideally from Big 4.
  • Relevant experience in fund accounting.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience working in Venture Capital is desirable.
  • Excellent communicator, experience of working with third parties.
  • Strong attention to detail.
