Our client, a leading private equity firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. The role involves full lifecycle management of a portfolio of funds, covering everything from bookkeeping through to valuations. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience within PE. Looking for someone to start immediately and could lead to a permanent role.

Description

  • Prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements of the funds.
  • Manage the quarterly investor reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly valuations for all investments.
  • Monitor and reconcile cash movements.
  • Oversee and develop the Assistant Fund Accountant.
  • Support the Fund Controller on the maintenance of fund financial models.
  • Handle all aspects of the bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations.
  • Review and seek sign-off on the debt valuations each month.
  • Develop and document a strong control environment.

Skills

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant experience in fund accounting.
  • Excellent communicator, experience of working with third parties.
  • Strong Excel and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, LP reporting, partnership accounting and tax considerations and regulatory frameworks.
