We are working with a global Blue Chip organisation that operates in highly complex, asset-intensive sectors, playing an essential role in delivering critical infrastructure and associated services. The Group partners closely with public and private stakeholders on high-value, strategically significant projects.

Description

This is a lead analyst role within a high-performing business development and commercial team. The position sits at the centre of major bids, acquisitions and mobilisation activity, providing financial leadership, robust challenge and high-quality analysis across complex decision-making processes. The Senior Modeller will take ownership of financial and operational modelling on live opportunities, managing inputs from multiple stakeholders and advisors, and ensuring that outputs are clear, credible and decision-ready for senior management and investment committees. Alongside this, you will play an important role in developing best-practice tools, supporting international projects and mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and critically challenge the financial development of bids, including base data, assumptions and risk profiles
  • Manage internal and external resources involved in building complex financial models
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of financial outputs to demanding bid and transaction timetables
  • Support operational teams in translating data into commercially robust outcomes
  • Present and explain financial assumptions, risks and sensitivities to senior stakeholders and shareholders
  • Contribute to investment committee papers and formal submissions
  • Analyse and interpret large operational, performance, cost and revenue datasets
  • Support M&A activity, mobilisations and wider strategic projects across the platform
  • Develop and share modelling best practices across UK and international teams
  • Lead and develop graduate and analyst talent where required
  • Produce high-quality written analysis, supporting papers and visual outputs
  • Apply structured project management tools to ensure delivery across multiple workstreams

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a degree in a numerate or analytical discipline (e.g. Economics, Engineering, Business, STEM or similar), and must possess strong experience in complex financial modelling for either commercial bids, transactions or M&A projects. The ability to operate under pressure is essential, along with the capability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders at any one time. This opportunity will suit a commercially astute individual, who is detail-oriented and confident in challenging the assumptions of others. Other important characteristics include a collaborative, approachable personality and the credibility to influence senior audiences.

This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely influential role, working on high-profile, high-value projects with real strategic impact. The environment is intellectually demanding, fast-paced and collaborative, offering exposure to senior decision-makers, international projects and long-term career progression for those who thrive in complex, commercial settings.
