Our client is a leading multi-billion revenue international infrastructure group, backed by a global private equity firm. They are seeking to recruit a high-calibre Treasury & Tax Director, operating as a critical member of the Finance Leadership Team. This senior executive role reports directly to the Group CFO and owns the overarching strategy for global liquidity, capital structure, and multi-jurisdictional tax planning across multiple European countries.
The successful candidate for this role will lead the group’s treasury strategy, directing all short and long term funding initiatives, including bank facilities, debt capital markets activity, leasing structures, and robust multi-currency cash pooling. Additionally, the Director formulates the hedging frameworks necessary to manage substantial foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity exposures, whilst partnering with the Executive Board on heavy capital expenditure programmes such as fleet electrification and infrastructure bidding. The role will also have full responsibility for the international tax strategy, transfer pricing, and cross‑border structuring while maintaining compliance with emerging European frameworks like Pillar Two and ATAD.
Skills:
- Proven senior-level track record in tax and treasury from within a large, capital-intensive, multi-jurisdictional sector such as infrastructure, transport, utilities, or energy.
- Hands-on experience managing complex debt portfolios, major banking syndicates, and capital market transactions.
- Experience with concession-based models and public sector stakeholders.
- A professional accountancy or treasury qualification is required.
- Leadership gravitas to influence at board level.
