We are now looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller to play a pivotal leadership role within the finance function. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will take ownership of operational finance, oversee group reporting, and cash management, and play a key role in safeguarding the organisation’s financial integrity while supporting strategic decision-making at the highest level.
You will lead and manage a large finance team and have direct oversight of multiple finance disciplines including financial accounting, tax, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury, and FP&A. The role carries full accountability for the balance sheet, ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and robustness, alongside ownership of all banking and cash management activities across the Group.
Working closely with the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will support the management of relationships with investors, lenders, auditors, and external advisors. A core focus of the role will be to maintain and enhance the organisation’s financial control environment, ensuring best practice, strong governance, and ongoing process improvement.
In addition, you will lead the Group’s budgeting and planning cycles, including cash forecasting and covenant management, and will be responsible for developing insightful reporting and KPIs to support business performance and balance sheet health.
This role requires a graduate qualified accountant, ideally from a public practice, with strong technical expertise in accounting and taxation, coupled with a proven track record in managing cash flow forecasting and leading business-critical finance functions. You will bring a proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while influencing senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
