Our client is a high-growth advisory firm specialising in M&A and strategic transactions for ambitious founder-led and corporate businesses. With a strong and growing pipeline of mandates, the firm is continuing to invest in its M&A capability and is now looking to appoint a couple of Associate Directors to support both deal delivery and the continued growth of the practice.
These roles will sit close to the Partners and play an important part in supporting them as they manage and scale the business. The successful candidate will work across the full lifecycle of buy-side and sell-side transactions, engaging directly with shareholders, management teams and senior stakeholders, while also contributing to the development of the firm’s M&A platform as it continues to expand. The roles offer a balance of execution and leadership. You will lead transaction workstreams, oversee financial modelling and valuations, and take responsibility for the preparation of high-quality client materials. You will be supported by Analysts within the firm, allowing you to focus on higher-value activities, client interaction and deal progression. You will also work alongside the Partners in managing junior team members, coordinating external advisers and driving mandates through to completion.
Skills
- Candidates for these Associate Director roles are expected to be operating at Senior Manager or Associate Director level within M&A, corporate finance or transaction advisory, with strong technical capability and the commercial judgement required to operate effectively in a client-facing advisory role.
- Experience advising technology-enabled or high-growth businesses would be advantageous, though not essential.
- A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping build a growing advisory business will be key.
This opportunity is well suited to an M&A professional seeking increased responsibility, closer exposure to Partners and decision-making, and a clear progression path within a firm where growth, autonomy and long-term development are actively encouraged.
