Our client is a leading UK mid-market private equity fund with an extremely capable management team and an experienced group of investors. Working closely with entrepreneurial management teams, the business has an exceptionally strong track record in growing businesses and achieving substantial capital gains for its clients.
We are now seeking an Investment Manager to join a well-established team that becomes involved in the later stages of the deal process and then works in close partnership with the management of investee companies, from initial investment through to exit. The role is wide-ranging and covers influencing companies on strategic and organisational development, the management of refinancings and bolt-on acquisitions, and exit planning and execution. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with the management of some of the UK’s most successful and entrepreneurial companies from initial investment through to exit.
The ideal candidate should be a highly ambitious individual with a strong track record of success in fast-moving environments. Fascinated by how businesses grow and develop, you must be financially literate and will either be a qualified ACA with post-qualification experience gained in M&A, turnaround or strategy; or a strategy consultant with prior experience gained working with private equity‑backed businesses; or alternatively, an investment banking/M&A professional familiar with working on mid‑market private equity deals. Capable of working closely with the highest quality entrepreneurs and their management teams, you will feel comfortable providing support and advice in a partnership capacity. You should have a highly commercial outlook, sound judgement and excellent communication and people skills. You will feel comfortable working within the private equity industry and be able to quickly adapt to its culture.
