Our client is a highly regarded supplier of key technology and equipment to the entertainment sector, with market leading positions across the globe. The company has an enviable track record of achieving consistent organic growth and is increasingly committed to pursuing acquisitions, with a highly supportive private equity shareholder funding this strategy.

In support of this M&A agenda, they are now seeking to recruit a high-quality M&A professional to lead the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, other related transactions and help drive value creation. The successful candidate will also take on additional responsibilities, including ownership of the group's commercial business model, as well as supporting the strategic planning process and interacting closely with the investors.

This highly visible role partners with the Board of Directors and will play a critical role in helping the group capitalise on the most attractive inorganic opportunities, with responsibilities spanning all aspects of the M&A process. This will include origination, pipeline development and execution as well as the ongoing maintenance of the Group’s visibility with the advisory community. The opportunity will also offer broader support to the CFO and CEO, although the key focus will be firmly on driving the M&A agenda.

The successful Head of M&A candidate will have a strong academic profile and, ideally, experience working in a high growth, product or technology led business. The ability to work in a fast paced and entrepreneurial corporate culture is essential, and previous experience working with private equity shareholders would be advantageous. Based in London, the role will involve some international travel as required, both to collaborate with stakeholders across the group and to drive the M&A process with potential acquisition targets.

Strong communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with all levels across the Group, with the private equity shareholders and with external partners and advisers. Candidates will need to be adaptable and able to switch from broader commercial and strategic issues to a more ‘hands-on” M&A activities when required.
