Our client is a world leading FTSE50 company, based in London with operations across the globe, looking to hire a Head of Internal Audit. This is a high-profile role working at the heart of a listed group with frequent exposure to the Board, offering exceptional development opportunities. Their policy is to promote from within wherever possible and look upon the leaders across Group finance as a rich source of future leadership talent both in finance and in line roles.

Description

The Head of Internal Audit will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with a strong dotted line to the Chair of the Audit Committee. The role covers governance over all financial aspects of the Group globally, primarily looking for effective compliance in every operating unit against a set of core mandatory controls. There is a team of 15 based across the world so an element of international travel should be expected.

Skills

The successful candidate for this Head of Internal Audit will be a qualified Accountant with first class academics, strong technical audit skills and proven leadership experience gained either in a complex, multi-national listed group or at Director level within an international accounting firm. This is a high performing, yet low ego, group so cultural fit is essential.
