Operating in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven leisure environment, with significant international operations, the business has an entrepreneurial culture alongside a high‑quality management team. The Group is currently undergoing a period of meaningful transformation and is at an exciting stage in its evolution.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Group Reporting, with significant experience gained working in a complex international listed Group. This role will take accountability for the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements and the financial sections of the annual report, as well as the delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs. Acting as the Group’s technical accounting authority, you will oversee key accounting judgements, prepare technical accounting memoranda for the Audit Committee and external auditors, and provide guidance on new and evolving accounting standards across the business. You will also oversee the production of monthly consolidated management information to support internal decision‑making and work closely with the Group Finance Director in preparation for Audit Committee meetings. This role plays a critical part in strengthening the Group’s financial control environment. You will ensure that a robust and scalable financial control framework is embedded consistently across all jurisdictions, driving continuous improvement in processes and reporting quality. Ownership of the Group accounting policies will sit with you, and you will ensure that these policies are clearly understood and applied across the wider finance team, including the shared service centre.
The position will suit someone who has trained as an ACA with a leading international public practice and has already commenced a career in industry in a listed company in Group Finance. Candidates must have proven experience of leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements within a complex, international environment, including having ownership of a demanding external audit process. They should have a keen interest in pursuing operational efficiency by maximising the use of financial systems and developing highly efficient business processes. Candidates will require strong technical accounting expertise, with IFRS knowledge and a sound understanding of relevant regulatory requirements (listing rules, the FRC and the Companies Act).
