The Financial Consolidations Systems Consultant will support the implementation and optimisation of IBM Controller and IBM Planning & Analytics across the Group. The role will work closely with the Group Finance team, subsidiary finance teams, and external implementation partners to ensure the successful transition from existing consolidation processes to a robust, scalable group reporting, budgeting, and forecasting solution. This is a hands‑on role within a multi‑country matrix environment, requiring strong technical capability, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver practical solutions within a defined project timeframe.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and optimisation of IBM Controller & IBM Planning & Analytics across the Group.
- Ensure the system is set up and operates in line with the core design requirements defined by the Group Finance team.
- Test and reconcile uploaded information into the Controller platform.
- Assist in designing and supporting supplementary information needed for Group reporting such as head count information.
- Design and build functionality to collate and build forecasts and scenario planning.
- Work with the Group Finance team to help optimise the use of Controller.
Skills
- Qualified accountant, ideally with a Big 4 background.
- Proven experience implementing or supporting financial consolidation, reporting systems (such as TM1, Anaplan, Planful).
- Experience supporting finance transformation projects within a growing or acquisitive group.
- Strong understanding of group reporting, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Experience of working in a multi‑entity, multi‑country finance environment.
- Strong data reconciliation, testing and problem solving skills.
