Our client is an established global private equity firm based in Central London. An opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Director to join the team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience and will thrive in a high-performing, demanding and results-driven environment. Starting early 2026.
The duties and responsibilities for this Interim Finance Director role include, but are not limited to:
- Ownership of monthly management accounts for the division.
- Ensure robust financial control, accounting accuracy, and compliance with internal reporting standards.
- Drive improvements in reporting timeliness, automation, and insight quality.
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes for the division.
- Translate business drivers into clear, data-backed financial plans.
- Working closely with the funds team to understand, analyse and model the fund valuation models and forecasts into business plans.
- Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Present clear, insightful financial commentary to senior management and investment leadership.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence within the finance team.
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering ownership and technical excellence.
- Promote collaboration with Group Finance, HR, tax, and investment teams.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ideally Big 4 audit trained) with relevant post-qualified experience.
- Expertise in process review and improvement.
- Strong background in budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience of working in a large corporate group and managing numerous stakeholders.
- Previous team management experience is essential.
- Enjoys adding value through process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
