Our client, an FCA regulated business, is looking for an ambitious Finance Associate to join their London team in a broad finance role. This is a great opportunity to work across a wide variety of financial operations as part of a dynamic team, reporting into the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be actively studying towards an accounting qualification and available on one month's notice or less.
Responsibilities:
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
- Assist with monthly reports.
- Support postings in the system, i.e. sales and purchase invoices.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and FCA requirements.
- Liaise with lenders, investors and any other stakeholders on relevant financial matters.
- Serve as a point of contact for ongoing finance transformation projects.
- Contribute to process improvements across finance, operations and reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support audits.
- Any ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills:
- Part-qualified accountant, actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a finance function, preferably within financial services.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
- Experience with SAP or Business Central will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
