Our client, an FCA regulated business, is looking for an ambitious Finance Associate to join their London team in a broad finance role. This is a great opportunity to work across a wide variety of financial operations as part of a dynamic team, reporting into the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be actively studying towards an accounting qualification and available on one month's notice or less.

Responsibilities:

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
  • Assist with monthly reports.
  • Support postings in the system, i.e. sales and purchase invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and FCA requirements.
  • Liaise with lenders, investors and any other stakeholders on relevant financial matters.
  • Serve as a point of contact for ongoing finance transformation projects.
  • Contribute to process improvements across finance, operations and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support audits.
  • Any ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills:

  • Part-qualified accountant, actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a finance function, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
  • Experience with SAP or Business Central will be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
