We are partnering with a high-growth, consumer-focused business looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible and commercially focused role at the heart of the organisation, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to directly influence business performance. This is a new role in the organisation, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role and the Commercial Finance function. When necessary, this role will also deputise for the Finance Director on all commercial and strategic matters.
This Commercial Finance Manager position plays a critical role in driving financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making and improving operational and commercial outcomes. Key responsibilities will include providing robust financial analysis and decision support to drive trading performance and inform strategic initiatives across the business. You will analyse key financial and operational metrics such as sales, gross margin, profitability and cost structures, identifying trends, risks and opportunities. The role will also involve developing financial models to support investment decisions, capital allocation and new business initiatives, alongside ownership of KPI development, performance tracking and variance analysis with clear, actionable recommendations. You will play a leading role in cost control and efficiency programmes, ensuring delivery against targets and holding stakeholders accountable for outcomes. Partnering closely with senior leadership and functional heads, you will distil complex data and financial insights into practical strategies that enhance both customer proposition and profitability. In addition, you will support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with wider organisational objectives.
The Commercial Finance Manager role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, acting as a key interface between Finance, Operations, IT and Commercial teams. You will lead and influence high-impact programmes, facilitate workshops and discussions to drive alignment, and coach non-finance stakeholders to enhance commercial understanding across the business. There is also responsibility for mentoring junior team members, building capability in financial modelling, analysis and storytelling. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in commercial finance and business partnering within a retail, grocery or FMCG environment. You will bring strong analytical capability, be data-driven, have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience of financial modelling, ERP systems and working within fast-paced, evolving organisations is highly desirable. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional to relocate to the Caribbean and take on a high-impact role within a dynamic and growing business.
