Our client is a global listed Natural Resources company focused on the production of essential raw materials. They are looking for an ESG Senior Analyst to join for an initial 9 month assignment with a potential to go permanent. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ESG reporting and a commercial mindset.
Responsibilities for this ESG Senior Analyst will include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the Company’s ESG reporting goals, programmes, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with recognised sustainability reporting standards and frameworks.
- Lead initiatives to design and implement plans that ensure compliance with evolving sustainability regulations, particularly the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy, with readiness for both internal and external audit review.
- Oversee the gathering, consolidation, and evaluation of global ESG data across operations, projects, and corporate functions.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing ESG reports tailored to specific country requirements.
- Prepare annual corporate environmental disclosures.
- Keep up to date with ESG data and international disclosure trends and standards applicable to the mining industry, as well as Canadian reporting requirements.
Skills required for this ESG Senior Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Proven financial reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting guidelines.
- Mining industry experience and international experience is desirable.
- Audit background as well as a strong commercial awareness.
- Great attention to detail and communication skills.
