The responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP.
  • Assist in the preparation of WIP files to support the Group consolidated financial statements.
  • Main point of contact for audit and related requests.
  • Work closely with all departments to collate information for the timely production of financial statements.
  • Produce and record adjustment journals.
  • Assist the wider finance team with any ad hoc duties.

The skills of the Assistant Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Part-qualified accountant, later stages of qualification / Finalist (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to take initiative to work both independently and as part of a team.
