Newly created, the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance position sits at the heart of the organisation and works directly with the CFO to drive operational excellence and meaningful change across the group. Acting as a trusted right-hand, the role plays a key part in shaping the senior leadership agenda and turning strategy into action. It offers significant visibility and influence for someone who enjoys operating close to decision-making at the highest level.
You will lead and execute high-impact projects across the group, requiring strong commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and a willingness to be hands-on. The role involves proactively gathering and interrogating data to deliver deep-dive analysis that drives tangible improvement, preparing thoroughly for senior meetings to ensure focus and productivity, and leading both short and long-term projects that demand pace, ownership and delivery. You will regularly attend executive and operational forums, ensuring decisions are clearly captured, accountability is agreed, and outcomes are tracked through to completion. Acting on behalf of the CFO, you will manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, whilst also cutting through large volumes of information to identify the reports, data and insights that truly matter.
Qualifications
You will be a qualified accountant with post-qualified experience in a commercial environment. You will have a demonstrable track record of delivering results in dynamic and ambiguous settings, supported by highly developed analytical skills, strong commercial judgement and discretion. Clear, confident communication is critical, as is the ability to operate credibly and influence across all levels of seniority. This is a role with considerable scope to develop, offering exposure to senior leaders across all areas of the business and the opportunity to influence both operational and strategic decision-making.
