Our client is one of Europe’s leading investment firms. Investments have typically been in asset-rich businesses that require transformational change, and the firm takes a longer-term view than more traditional private equity investors. Working closely with management teams, the business has an exceptionally strong track record in growing businesses and in achieving substantial capital gains for its clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join as an Associate Principal working on two investments with a remit to work closely with management teams on the execution of strategic, operational, financial, people and governance matters related to the businesses. This may include influencing on strategic and organisational development, the management of re-financings and bolt-on acquisitions, and exit planning and execution.
Responsibilities:

- Influence strategic and organisational development, manage refinancings and bolt-on acquisitions, and assist with exit planning and execution.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Ambitious with a strong track record of success in fast-moving environments.
- Excellent board-level communication skills and high financial literacy.
- Experience with a leading strategy consulting firm and/or strategy/corporate development in a larger group.
- Prior experience in a value creation/portfolio operations team within private equity is advantageous.
- Ability to work closely with high-quality management teams and private equity investors in a partnership capacity.
- Highly commercial outlook, sound judgement, and excellent communication and people skills.
- Comfort working within the private equity industry and adapting to its culture.
