Plating Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Operating manual chemical plating lines as required in various coatings including Zinc, Zinc-nickel, Electroless nickel, Gold and Silver
- Monitor production tanks by analysis and make chemical additions as required
- Carry out X-ray testing for thickness of various coatings
- Filling our Job cards with all relevant details of process carried out
Plating Operator Qualifications & Experience:
- Educated to standard grade level
- Demonstrable examples of dexterity
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable)
- Must be health & safety conscious
- Plating experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
Plating Operator Skills & Behaviours:
- Ensure a flexible and collaborative attitude within the team
- Work constructively and support your peer team and other departments as required
- Act in an appropriate manner when dealing directly or indirectly with customers
- Ensure respect for all team members
- Proactive with good time management
- Good problem-solving skills within span of control/team
- Display a positive attitude and be resilient to setbacks
- Disciplined in maintaining schedules and documentation as required
What’s in it for you?
- Full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Once fully trained, you’ll move onto a two-shift rotation, covering early and backshifts
