My client is an exciting, fast paced and highly acquisitive company, and is searching for the right candidate who can match their enthusiasm for growth and success! Seeking an outstanding individual to join the Commercial Finance team on a six-month fixed‑term basis, this role will partner the C‑suite to support commercial decision‑making across the function.
This role would suit an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who can act as a true thought partner to the leadership team – someone who compiles and digests information quickly, delivers clear recommendations, and thrives in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance at a time when the organisation is trialling a range of new initiatives to deliver incremental cash margin. You will be someone who can quickly quantify the commercial impact of these initiatives and help the team make confident decisions at pace. This role reports to the Head of Commercial Finance and will work closely with the leadership team and the wider Commercial Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner the Director and the UK Chief Commercial Officer to support commercial decision‑making across the function.
- Work closely with team to deliver rigorous commercial analysis, including site performance, F&B profitability, cost efficiencies analysis and operational efficiency insights.
- Interpret financial insights and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for the Director and Chief Commercial Officer.
- Champion best practices in commercial finance and business partnering.
- Support the Head of Commercial Finance on transformational tasks and strategic initiatives across the business.
Successful Applicant
- Background in retail, multi‑site or eCommerce is essential.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude to accelerate analysis and drive sharper commercial insights.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and significant post‑qualification experience in commercial finance roles.
- Experience in a similar commercial finance role within a PE‑backed or high‑growth environment, with the ability to hit the ground running and deliver at pace from day one.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Track record of driving transformation and embracing change.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders across geographies.
- Resilient and adaptable with a proactive mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, financial systems and data analysis tools is a must have.
- Experience with D365 is desirable; familiarity with TM1 Planning Analytics would be a further advantage.
