My client is seeking an outstanding individual to lead its UK FP&A/Commercial finance function based in the London office for a minimum 6‑month contract, while it conducts the search for a permanent candidate. Potential to work remotely one day per week, however due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required for face‑to‑face meetings with the business. This role would suit an ambitious, resilient leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, embracing new technologies, and supporting the business change agenda. The role reports directly to the UK CFO and leads a team of eight highly skilled Business Partners and Analysts. The permanent role offers a clear progression path to divisional CFO level within the next two–three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the forecast, budget and 3‑year planning processes for the UK business and central support functions.
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
- Support commercial decision‑making across the UK business and central support functions.
- Drive financial transformation initiatives by embracing new technologies.
- Champion best practices in commercial finance and business partnering.
- Manage and develop a high‑performing team of eight Business Partners/Analysts.
- Collaborate closely with the UK CFO to deliver strategic objectives.
Successful Applicant
- Proven experience leading budgeting and planning cycles for large companies, across multiple business disciplines and locations.
- Experience in a similar commercial finance role within a PE‑backed or high‑growth environment.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- TM1 Planning Analytics experience is a benefit.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint – must have.
- Must be able to hit the ground running; the budget and planning cycle starts in December.
