Responsibilities:
- Supporting month-end, quarterly and year-end financial reporting – assist in management accounting, budgeting, KPIs and financial statements.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and updating ledgers via journals.
- Reconciliation of income and income work in progress schedules and undertaking invoice project work.
- Communication with external auditors and internal auditors (a team responsibility).
- Liaising with HR and outsourced payroll provider to ensure accuracy of monthly payroll.
- Preparing bonus, redundancy calculations, holiday accruals and maintaining a monthly reconciliation of SAGE 200 to payroll.
- Responding to employees' queries on all payroll matters.
- Providing administrative support and processing transactions when required.
- Assisting in the supervision of a finance apprentice.
Requirements:
- Payroll and accounting experience and AAT level 4 qualification preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills – proficiency in functions like V-lookup, SUMIFs, pivot tables etc.
