Walker Cole are searching for a driven Upstream Scientist to join an industry leading Biopharmaceutical business in London. As an Upstream Scientist, you will be responsible for the development of scalable Upstream production processes of Therapeutic proteins and MABS.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct upstream process development activities including seed train expansion, production bioreactor operations (shake flask, spinner flask, Ambr250, benchtop bioreactors).
  • Work collaboratively with peers across upstream, downstream, and analytical development teams to support overall project timelines.
  • Take ownership of all USP development activities conducted on site.

The successful Upstream Scientist will have:

  • Degree in life science subject or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of Upstream process development experience in industry.
  • Knowledge of Ambr bioreactor systems highly desirable.
