Walker Cole International is searching for a Senior Global Medical Director on a retained basis for a fast-growing pharmaceutical business within the rare-disease field. As the Senior Global Medical Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects and phases of the development of the product portfolio.
  • Lead the strategic and operational direction of the medical affairs, thoroughly monitoring implementation, rules and regulations, and budget compliance.
  • Serve as the point of contact, leading global Medical Affairs internally and representing the company with healthcare authorities and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical trial standards within the team and, in partnership with Sales and Marketing, compliance with relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Provide consolidated product input into Global Clinical Development strategies for Phase II to IV clinical plans to ensure understanding of requirements.
  • Lead a vibrant, talented team including Medical Advisors, Compliance Manager, and Clinical Trial Manager.

Academic and Work Experience required:

  • Medical or PhD degree (Medical Doctor, MBBS, Scientific Expert).
  • Significant pharmaceutical industry expertise.
  • Proven work experience as a Medical Director or Medical Affairs Leader.
  • Country / Regional / Global experience will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of promotional codes of practice and regulations.
