Walker Cole International is searching for a Senior Global Medical Director on a retained basis for a fast-growing pharmaceutical business within the rare-disease field.

As the Senior Global Medical Director, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and leadership of the global medical affairs strategy for a specialty care product portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all aspects and phases of the development of the product portfolio.
  • Leading the strategic and operational direction of medical affairs, ensuring compliance with regulations, rules, and budget.
  • Serving as the main contact for internal global Medical Affairs and representing the company with healthcare authorities and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical trial standards and relevant Codes of Practice in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Providing input into Global Clinical Development strategies for phases II to IV clinical plans.
  • Leading a team including Medical Advisors, Compliance Manager, and Clinical Trial Manager.

Academic and Work Experience requirements:

  • Medical or PhD degree (e.g., Medical Doctor, MBBS, Scientific Expert)
  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Director or Medical Affairs Leader.
  • Experience at country, regional, or global levels is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of promotional codes of practice and regulations.
