Walker Cole are currently hiring for an MSAT leadership opportunity within a global biologics organisation, supporting drug substance manufacturing across commercial products and new product introductions. This role sits within a central MSAT function and focuses on technical oversight, process performance, and lifecycle management for biologics manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on mammalian cell culture and downstream purification.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership across biologics drug substance manufacturing (upstream & downstream)
- Lead and support tech transfer and scale-up activities into commercial manufacturing
- Act as MSAT lead across internal sites and external CDMO partners
- Support process performance, investigations (deviations), and troubleshooting
- Contribute to process validation, CPV, and lifecycle management activities
- Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory
Requirements:
- Strong experience within biologics MSAT, process development, or manufacturing support
- Background in mammalian cell culture and/or downstream purification
- Experience supporting tech transfer and/or commercial manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GMP and process lifecycle management
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
