Walker Cole International is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK-based Pharmaceutical company to appoint a Market Access Manager. This is a key opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Sales and Marketing team, where you will be instrumental in shaping market access strategies for an established and innovative product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement market access strategies across healthcare professional, community-based and OTC channels.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to evaluate competitor activity, policy changes, and environmental factors impacting product availability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and external stakeholders to identify and recommend new routes to market.
- Lead market access initiatives for existing and new product opportunities within prescription and over-the-counter domains.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, including wholesale, pharmacy chains, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Support consultations regarding product reimbursement and availability within the NHS and other healthcare settings.
- Work closely with internal departments such as Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure successful market integration.
- Ensure full compliance with internal quality procedures and external regulatory frameworks.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven success in market access roles within the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors.
- Commercial experience in products supplied via healthcare professional recommendation, prescription, or OTC pathways.
- Comprehensive understanding of the NHS and broader UK healthcare system, including reimbursement pathways and policy frameworks.
- Experience liaising with KOLs, patient groups, and healthcare organisations.
- Strong research and analytical skills; understanding of health economics is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
