We are currently supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the search for a QC Microbiology Associate to join their Quality Control team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regulated manufacturing environment supporting the production of sterile medicinal products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring within cleanroom and controlled manufacturing areas
  • Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, utilities, in process samples, and finished products
  • Carry out water and utility sampling activities
  • Perform microbial identification and bioburden testing
  • Support culture media testing and stock management
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure inspection readiness
  • Accurately record and review data in line with GMP requirements
  • Assist with investigations, deviations, and quality events
  • Support validation activities and continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and housekeeping

Requirements

  • Experience working within a laboratory or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of microbiological techniques and testing methods
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a quality focused environment
  • HND or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience within a GMP microbiology laboratory
  • Environmental monitoring experience
  • Degree in a scientific discipline
  • Experience using electronic laboratory or quality management systems
