QA Operations Manager

Walker Cole International is partnering with a leading manufacturer to appoint a QA Operations Manager.

This role will be responsible for driving Performance Excellence across the site, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and embedding a culture of operational excellence across multiple functions and locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of the site's Performance Excellence strategy, developing and executing improvement plans across manufacturing and support functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities including RCA, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and Gemba walks to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
  • Train, coach, and mentor operational leaders while supporting the implementation of Performance Excellence initiatives across multiple departments and locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational improvement projects, support strategic site objectives, and promote best practice sharing across the wider business.

Skills and experience

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualification with proven experience implementing Performance Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including RCA, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels within a manufacturing environment.
  • Data-driven and analytical, with excellent communication skills and experience working within regulated environments such as GMP, BRC, ISO9001, food manufacturing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
