Walker Cole International is partnered with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer to appoint a Maintenance Engineer. This role will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of operationally critical manufacturing equipment, supporting the delivery of site production targets within a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns, ensuring manufacturing equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
- Utilise the site's maintenance management system to complete work orders, maintain accurate engineering records, manage spare parts requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support engineering projects including equipment installation, commissioning, validation activities, and technical improvements, while ensuring compliance with GMP, health and safety, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline, with previous experience in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding experience, with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
- Working knowledge of GMP requirements, Permit to Work systems, and engineering best practices within a regulated environment.
