Customer Marketing Manager | Consumer Sector
A fast-growing consumer business is expanding its Marketing and Insights teams and is looking to an entrepreneurial, commercially-minded professional to join at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
Location: Reading, UK | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)
Responsibilities:
- Translate brand plans into customer-facing activation strategies across product, price, promotion and place, anchored in shopper insight and retailer priorities
- Build retailer-ready selling stories for priority brands, NPD and key commercial initiatives
- Own NPD launch excellence — turning innovation strategy into launch toolkits, distribution targets and POS plans, and tracking launch KPIs (distribution, availability, visibility, feature space) to drive continuous improvement
- Set distribution priorities by brand, SKU and customer, and partner with Sales and Marketing to close gaps and manage supply-driven risks to customers
- Lead pricing and promotional discipline — setting promo guidelines, running ROI reviews with Sales and Finance, and ensuring activity aligns with brand positioning
- Define and monitor in-store execution standards (range, shelf presence, POS, displays) and drive corrective action where performance falls short of plan
