The Supply Chain Operations Manager for our FMCG client based in London, UK is responsible for managing the supply chain and logistics end to end from demand planning to imports, warehouse and inventory management, as well as local and EU export sales.
Main Tasks:
- Lead all activities relating to the supply chain and logistics function with the help of one team member.
- Create PFI as per details provided by the sales team.
- Manage order entry as per sales file, delivery creation for sales orders, PGI and invoicing post-dispatch.
- Handle credit note creation for shortages in orders or wrong invoices.
- Effectively manage distribution operations to ensure smooth flow of finished products from warehouses to customer locations.
- Ensure complete stock accuracy, preventing any stock inadequacy/excess.
- Conduct stock audits regularly and ensure reconciliation with zero inventory difference.
- Liase with 3PL service providers for day-to-day operations and highlight concern areas in 3PL performance.
- Track and monitor performance against KPIs; implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Report on key KPIs (Fill Rates, Delivery Schedule Adherence, Vendor SLA and KPIs).
- Develop and review demand forecasts for SKUs.
- Review historical sales trends and prepare and evaluate forecast results.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model.
- Track and analyse slow-moving and near-expiry stocks.
- Lead liquidation of near-expiry stocks along with the Sales and Marketing team.
- Create business analytics reports and ensure continuous tracking of key indices.
- Resolve issues related to receipts, dispatch, storage, damaged stocks, and returns.
- Address and liaise for any mismatch during receipts from factories or warehouses.
- Ensure settlement of insurance claims on account of shortages.
- Assist Line Manager in negotiating contracts and monitoring the quality of service provided.
- Facilitate import and export requirements, ensuring all relevant documentation is compliant.
- Manage key relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
- Ensure quality procedures and working practices are adhered to and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
- Supply chain experience in a global environment.
- Knowledge of UK, European and global import and export customs.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams and different cultures.
- Superb organisational skills with a methodical approach to work.
- High level of attention to detail whilst working at pace.
- Self-starter.
- Experience of working within ISO9001:2015 procedures.
