Job Location: London, UK

Educational Qualification: University Degree – Supply Chain qualifications preferred.

Experience: 5-9 years of core FMCG operations experience, across Warehouse Management and Distributor as well as Key Accounts & e-Commerce channel support. Minimum 3 years local UK experience dealing with import of goods and export to EU is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Supply chain and logistics end to end from Demand Planning to Imports to Warehouse & Inventory Management and Local as well as EU Export sales.
  • Lead all activities relating to the supply chain & logistics function with the help of 1 team member, including:
    • PFI creation as per details provided by sales team.
    • Order Entry as per sales file, delivery creation for the sales orders, PGI and invoicing post-dispatch.
    • Credit note creation for the shortage in orders or wrong invoice.
    • Effectively manage the distribution operations to ensure the smooth flow of the finished products from the warehouses and customer locations.
    • Ensure complete stock accuracy preventing any stock inadequacy/excess. Conduct stock audits regularly and ensure reconciliation with ZERO inventory difference.
    • Liase with 3PL service providers for day to day operations, highlight concern areas in 3PL performance to track and monitor performance against KPIs; implement corrective actions to improve performance.
    • Responsible for reporting on key KPI’s (Fill Rates, Delivery Schedule Adherence, Vendor SLA and KPI’s etc.)
    • Develop and review demand forecast for SKUs. Review historical sales trends, prepare and evaluate forecast results. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
    • Tracking and Analysis of Slow moving and Near Expiry stocks.
    • Lead liquidation of near expiry stocks along with Sales and Marketing team.
    • Create business analytics reports (Production plan v/s actual report, Stock Status, Ageing Report, Points related to S&OP etc.) and ensure continuous tracking of key indices.
    • Responsible for the resolution of issues related to receipts, dispatch, storage, damaged stocks and returns.
    • Address and liaison for any mismatch during receipts from any factory or warehouse or issues to the distributors and execute corrective actions where required.
    • Ensure settlement of insurance claims on account of shortages.
    • Assist Line Manager in negotiating contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided driven by data and facts.
    • Facilitate import and export requirements, ensuring all relevant documentation is compliant to ensure smooth transit of any goods into and out of the company and will deliver excellent service levels to ensure on time delivery to customers.
    • Manage key relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
    • Ensure quality procedures and working practices are adhered to and constructively suggest where improvements can be made.

  • Knowledge of UK, European and global import and export customs.
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and different cultures.
  • Superb organizational skills with a methodical approach to work.
  • High level of attention to detail whilst working at pace.
  • Self-starter.
  • Experience of working within ISO9001:2015 procedures.
