About the role
We are looking for a candidate to join the Planning and Strategy team, working across our growing list of clients. The team focuses on setting out and leading on the strategic direction and growth of our clients, developing media campaigns and strategies that are finely curated to deliver on our client’s needs and objectives. We are responsible for overseeing the relationship with the client and work with all the other teams in the agency. This role will be working on a varied set of clients. Over the first few months you will go on a thorough learning programme, including completing relevant industry qualifications, shadowing, and theoretical learning from your manager and colleagues. A lot of your learning will be real-time, on the job — you will be working on live client projects right from day one. Over the first 12 months, you will gradually become more involved with project tasks to work on autonomously whilst learning additional skills and widening your workload.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team on all aspects of the planning process, including:
- Building customer segments to understand what media to use to reach target audiences.
- Competitive reporting using industry tools to interpret brand spends and give clients a point of view on competitor activity.
- Supporting team members to create media plans based on client briefs, ensuring all plans are within budget, across the correct time period, and achieving client objectives.
- Update status sheets both internally and to the client with the progress of projects and next steps.
- Support the team with admin tasks and be introduced to our finance system.
- Support on campaign planning as well as management end to end of smaller campaigns.

- Develop a full understanding of the media landscape and how the planning process works.
- Follow the finance process in place for your clients.
- Ensure all plans and bookings are accurate so billing is done correctly first time.
- Save down all required files and communicate with all teams, including finance, to ensure invoices are sent on time.
- Support the development of new initiatives that benefit the agency, our people or our clients.
- Put yourself forward for new developments.
- Build relationships with partners across the industry — media owners, other agencies, and clients alike.
- Meet media owners regularly and help grow your professional network.
- Use these relationships to develop a better understanding of the media landscape.
