We are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Female Personal Assistant / Carer to support a female client living in Harrow with complex health needs. This is a varied role that combines high-quality personal care with household management and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of the English language (both written and spoken), and be confident liaising with healthcare professionals and managing day-to-day administrative tasks. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with the right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn.
About The Role
- Provide high-quality personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and training.
- Support the client to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation.
- Liaise with GPs, hospitals, consultants and other healthcare professionals to arrange appointments.
- Order medications and medical supplies, carry out regular stock checks, and resolve any issues with suppliers.
- Maintain records of medication and medical supply stock.
- Assist with general household management and administrative duties.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic home environment to a high standard, recognising the client's increased risk of infection due to a compromised immune system.
- Promote the client's independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Essential Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a home with cats.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts and commit to a minimum of four shifts per week.
- Caring, patient, compassionate and professional.
- Willingness to learn and undertake training.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required before employment can commence.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex health needs.
- Experience in mental health care.
- Experience in care coordination or administrative roles.
- Confidence using basic IT systems, email and maintaining accurate records.
- Medication administration experience is desirable but not essential.
