Live-in Carer (Experienced)

Overview

Location: Oakleigh Enterprise Hub, 259 Oakleigh Road North

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hindi language speaker Live-in Carer to provide support, companionship, and assistance with daily living for individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. The client speaks only Hindi, and we are particularly seeking a Hindi-speaking live-in carer. Full-time permission is required for carers, and no sponsorship is provided for this role.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming).
• Assisting with mobility and transfers, including the use of mobility aids if required.
• Administering or prompting medication as directed.
• Preparing meals and supporting with feeding where necessary.
• Housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Companionship – engaging in conversation, hobbies, and social activities.
• Supporting with shopping, appointments, and outings.
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or well-being to family members or healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in care (professional or personal) preferred but not essential.
• Kind, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow care plans.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Willingness to live in the client’s home, providing support as required.
• Basic cooking and housekeeping skills.
