This role is remote/home based, however, we may require the successful post-holder to attend meetings and/or workshop activities on-site at our London office where necessary.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Programme Leader to support the academic leadership and operational delivery of our Online MSc Computer Science programme. This role is ideal for an academic professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for online learning, and a commitment to delivering an excellent student experience. Reporting to and working closely with the Academic Lead - Programme Leader – MSc Computing & Academic Dean, you will play a key role in maintaining academic quality, supporting teaching staff, and ensuring the programme meets both institutional and external quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the academic leadership, management, development, and ongoing enhancement of the Online MSc Computer Science programme
- Contribute to curriculum design, module review, and assessment strategies
- Act as a point of contact for academic staff, associate lecturers, and students
- Support student progression, engagement, and retention across the programme
- Assist with quality assurance processes, including monitoring academic standards and regulatory compliance
- Deputise for the Programme Leader when required
- Contribute to staff development, mentoring, and peer review activities
- Engage with industry trends to ensure programme relevance and currency
Skills and Qualification:
- A Doctorate and postgraduate qualification (Computing or related discipline preferred)
- Experience teaching, authoring and/or leading at postgraduate level, ideally within an online or blended environment
- Strong understanding of UK higher education quality assurance frameworks
- Experience in programme and module leadership
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- A student-centred approach and commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote team
