As a Student Engagement Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for students throughout their academic journey, providing high-quality support, guidance and signposting across a range of academic, wellbeing and pastoral matters. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will help create an inclusive and engaging student community, support student success and wellbeing, and contribute to initiatives that enhance engagement, retention and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline support for student enquiries, in person and online.
- Support students throughout their academic journey, managing enquiries and escalating complex issues where appropriate.
- Monitor student engagement and attendance, carrying out proactive outreach to support student engagement and retention.
- Coordinate and support student engagement activities and communications for on-campus and online students.
- Champion student voice initiatives, including surveys, feedback forums and other opportunities for student engagement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service KPIs.
- Work collaboratively across the institution while ensuring all activities align with institutional policies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience working in a student-facing role within Higher Education.
- Experience supporting international students and/or diverse student populations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Digital confidence and experience using online platforms and systems.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- A proactive, student-centred approach with a passion for delivering an outstanding student experience.
Desirable Knowledge
- Knowledge of the UK higher education sector and student lifecycle.
- Experience supporting online learners and delivering student engagement activities.
- Experience using student records, CRM or engagement monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of UKVI requirements and issues affecting international students.
